If you're an online marketer you may be losing thousands of dollars to people who are ripping you off for your digital products. How? Well, think about this......once your customer has bought your product, what is keeping them from sharing the download link with others? They could even put up a website of their own and bypass your credit card processor altogether then add their own credit card processor with your download link. How would you know? Do you have insecure "thank you" pages? If so, those same thieves can share those too with other people and let them download your products for free. People are losing hundreds of thousands of dollars every year from such tactics and most never know it. Would you? Do you own a membership site with recurring payments? That is another place you could be losing money. If someone cancels their subscription do they still have access to your site? So, what can you do? One is to have a website protector program. Another is to create expiring download links that expire in the amount of time you set them to expire. You can also track the number of attempts a customer makes to download your product. If you have a membership site get a program that will block access to it automatically when someone cancels their membership. Another Way You're Losing Money! In one of his reports, the guru John Reese states if you don't have a mailing list, you don't have a business. I have to agree, your list is what makes your business. What is an online business worth without subscribers to their mailing list....Not much! Why? Well, while you can make a few dollars with front end products most online marketers agree that the money is in the back-end products you sell or should be selling. You customers are your best prospects to sell to again. They trust you, they have got to know you through your ezine or newsletter and if you find something that is worthwhile it is your obligation to let them know about it. If you don't someone else will and they may not treat your customer as good as you will or maybe even rip them off. So, how are you losing money here? Are you automatically adding you customers to your mailing list? If not, then you are losing money and also a customer who may purchase from you many times over. Haven't you always heard, "The money is in the list?". No words have been spoken more true. If you're not adding your customers to your list someone else will add them to theirs and that could cost you tens of thousands of dollars over time. |
